Demetrious Johnson out of UFC 201, who will fight Reis?

An injury has forced Demetrious Johnson out of his defense against Wilson Reis, which was scheduled for UFC 201 event.

The champion Demetrious Johnson has suffered an injury so it has been forced out of his fight against Wilson Reis, which was scheduled to take place on July 30 at the event UFC 201.

So far it is unknown what kind of injury suffered Johnson, but with billboard just three weeks, it is obvious that it was not able to recover for the match.

It was expected that Johnson will face Reis then defend his belt in December, this in the Ultimate Fighter Finale. The season - directed by Joseph Benavidez coaches and Henry Cejudo - will give the winner an immediate title fight.

Considering this, it is very unlikely to see the fight between Johnson and Reis being rescheduled for later this year.

The event UFC 201 will be headlined by a welterweight title bout between Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.

Because of this, WilsonReis will instead fight in the prelims against Hector Sandoval, a fighter from Mexico.
